2020 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Another “wow” wine.  This is the most elegant Reserve Cab we have ever made.  Just as the merlots from 2020 show remarkable “size”, this Reserve Cab is remarkable for its sensual, silky, lingering “loveliness” which makes it an immediate favorite and distinct from previous Reserve Cabs that typically show more chalky structure at this young age.  Although this is a gorgeous wine right out of the gate, it also has density, concentration and intensity in which its gravitas is balanced by its refinement.  The flavors are dominated by beautiful sweet blackberry and black cherry but are also loaded with cedar, bergamot and black pepper.  This is a Reserve Cab you will want in your collection.

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is a dense, heady, exotic wine. Super-ripe black cherry, plum, bittersweet chocolate, licorice, spice and lavender are all dialed up. this opulent, full-throttle Cabernet has a ton to offer. Constantly changing in the glass, the 2020 is pretty impressive today.

Bold, intense dark fruit flavors are framed by grippy tannins in this full-bodied, impressive mountain-grown wine. Espresso, dark chocolate and black cherries come out with each sip but need plenty of time to outgrow the firm structure. Best 2028–2038. — Jim Gordon
