2003 Cabernet Franc

2003 Cabernet Franc

Low crop levels in the 2003 vintage were disappointing, but served to intensify the already delightful character of our Cabernet Franc. Blended with 25% Merlot, this remarkable wine is virtually opaque in its deep ruby hue. Aromas and flavors of boysenberry, red currant and fresh sage gush from its rich and explosive mid-palate, followed by ripe blueberry, espresso and deep chocolate flavors in the finish.

A seductive Style, with lavish vanilla and mocha laced oak wrapped around a rich, lively core of currant, wild berry and black cherry fruit that flows across the palate. Plenty of tannins, but it's best young, so decant and enjoy. Drink now through 2009.
