Jessica Baker Desilets
Jessica was a Napa native until her late teens when she moved to Virginia. After graduating from high school, she took the money she’d saved from her after school jobs and traveled to Italy for the summer with a friend, exploring Rome, Florence, Venice, Cinque Terre, and Lake Como. Here she experienced the history and culture of a country rich with wine tradition. It wasn’t long until she realized what she’d been missing in her hometown and headed back to the beautiful Napa Valley!
Entering the wine business at the age of 22, Jessica started in the shipping department before moving to tasting room host, and eventually was promoted to trade relations coordinator and special custom events. A love of food and wine, coupled with her ability to share this passion with guests, also provided the opportunity to help shape the wine and food programs of several different wineries. During these years in the wine business, Jessica also attended college level wine classes and received her Level One Sommelier certificate in 2012.
Jessica credits her husband for her introduction to Pride Mountain Vineyards when he took her to the winery on one of their first dates. “As a result, I fell in love with both Michael and the winery. It couldn’t have worked out better!”
In her free time, Jessica plays the cello, paints, goes on hikes, and has started trying her hand at home cheese making. In addition to her husband, she shares her life with her English Bulldog, Sherman, the loudest snoring dog in the Napa Valley.
