The 2024 Vintner Select Cabernet Sauvignon is brimming with marionberries, dark plums and blueberries. While the dark toned fruits predominate, this wine’s most compelling aspect is its intricate tapestry of sage, pencil shavings and shaved dark chocolate that give it a lovely savoriness. Bright and lively on the attack, this wine certainly has a distinct power but one that is softened by the velvety nature of the tannins. Always bottled as 100% cabernet sauvignon, this is consistently one of our favorites whenever we taste through the wine library. This wine is a showstopper now but will be even better in 4 or 5 years and will beneficially evolve for decades with the fruit still on display. But no one will judge you if you cannot wait that long!
