Thursday, May 08, 2008 Kids in the Klinic - Vino de Mayo Wine Auction, San Francisco, CA

Join premier wine auctioneer David Reynolds of Reynolds & Buckley for Vino De Mayo, a wine auction to benefit the Kids in the Klinic endowment at University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Held at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco, this black-tie optional affair will feature wines from California vintners, exciting silent and live auction items and a sumptuous four-course meal.

Honorary chairs for the event include: Senator Jackie Speier; renowned food and wine personality Anthony Dias Blue; executive chef Hubert Keller; Julio Bermejo, of Tommy’s Mexican Restaurant; and executive chef Lucas Schoemaker.

The Kids in the Klinic endowment provides much-needed oral health care for socioeconomically disadvantaged children in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Out of this vision the Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend was born and to date has contributed over $2.7 million dollars to the community. Sunday, May 18, 2008 Meals on Wheels San Francisco Star Chefs & Vintners Gala

Over 50 of Northern California's best chefs & vintners come together for this one-night-only epicurean extravaganza, to support Meals On Wheels of San Francisco. The evening begins with a lavish hors d'oeuvre and wine reception, featuring delicious appetizers from 25 chefs. The main event is a sumptuous three-course meal, with each course prepared by one of 24 different chefs and paired with wine. The grand finale is a decadent reception featuring dessert, cordials and dancing.
