Thursday, February 2 - Saturday, February 4, 2012 Triangle Wine Experience
The Triangle Wine Experience is a weekend of world class wine charity events held each February in Raleigh, NC. Over its 18 year history, the Triangle Wine Experience has become one of the most well attended and successful events of its type, attracting thousands of participants from around the world who share a love of fine wine and a charitable spirit.
The proceeds from the Triangle Wine Experience provide the primary source of funding for the Frankie Lemmon School and Developmental Center, a non-profit organization which provides education and support for children ages 3-6 who have developmental delays, impairments, or disabilities.
On the opening evening of the Triangle Wine Experience, premier wineries and their renowned vintners take an active role in hosting dinners and wine tastings at many of the region’s most prestigious restaurants. On the second day of the festivities local wine merchants open their doors to participating winemakers and winery owners who provide samples of their wines for customers to taste as well as bottles for purchase and signing.
The weekend culminates in the Grand Gala and Auction, a black-tie extravaganza which features both live and silent auctions during which attendees can bid for spectacular wine collections and luxury packages created specifically for the Triangle Wine Experience. Following the auctions, the celebration continues with music, dancing, fine wine, fine food, and fine friends.
Pride Mountain Vineyards is honored by the opportunity to support the Frankie Lemmon Foundation and the Triangle Wine Experience....please join Pride's Director of National Sales, Stuart Bryan at the events within the event featuring our wines.
Friday, February 17, 2012 Koret Family House Cabernet for Connoisseurs
Please read below to see why the annual Koret Family House Cabernet for Connoisseurs event in San Francisco is an automatic addition to the Pride Mountain Vineyards event calendar every year:
Founded in 1981, Family House is a not-for-profit organization providing temporary housing to families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at the University of California San Francisco Benioff Children's Hospital. Qualifying families live more than 50 miles from UCSF, and many live at or below the low-income status as determined by UCSF. The two Family House locations sustain nearly a 100% occupancy rate and can accommodate 107 people per night. Over the course of a year, Family House serves more than 2,000 families.
Family House is an independent organization led by a professional staff and board of directors dedicated to providing residential services free-of-charge to qualifying families. Since it receives no financial support from UCSF, or any other public entity, it relies solely on the generous contributions of individuals, corporations and foundations.
The Koret House wine auction, that benefits Family House will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the St. Regis Hotel in San Francisco. Cabernet for Connoisseurs includes a pre dinner wine pouring/tasting and silent auction, followed by a sit-down dinner that culminates with a live auction with well-known wine auctioneer, Dave Reynolds. Last year over $300,000 was raised, thanks to the generosity and compassion of the wine community! All proceeds go directly to providing services for families in need.
We hope you will stop and say hello to Winemaker Sally Johnson, who plans to represent Pride Mountain Vineyards at the event for a fourth time.
Thursday, February 23 - Sunday, February 26, 2012 Premiere Napa Valley 2012
Since Premiere Napa Valley was established 15 years ago, it has become the must-attend event for top trade and media from across the country and around the globe who come to try your unique wine that is not available anywhere else in the world.
Please read below to see what Winemaker Sally Johnson has come up with for Premiere Napa Valley 2012:
2010 Cabernet Sauvignon, Cuvée des Quatre Cépages
This exceptional cuvée is unlike any other wine we make, as we blended all four of the Bordeaux varietals we grow here at the top of Spring Mountain: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Combining the intensity and concentration of our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, the complexity and grace of our Cabernet Franc, the indulgent silkiness of our Vintner Select Merlot and the racy brightness of our Petit Verdot, it is truly an exciting wine—and represents not only the best lots of each varietal, but the very best barrels of each lot. The pleasure found in making this wine will only be surpassed by the savoring of it.
Additionally, Pride Mountain Vineyards will be showcasing its' current releases at the Premiere-inspired Spring Mountain District Appellation Tasting on Friday, February 24 and hosting its annual Distributor Dinner Thursday evening, February 23 with one of the wine country's best kept secrets, Chef Peter Hall, preparing a dazzling five course menu for the occasion.
Saturday, March 3, 2012 Pacific Coast Wine Festival
The Pacific Coast Wine Festival — to be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach — has become one of the three major fundraising events for Pacific Symphony and one of the most respected wine auctions in California. The event features an unmatched lineup of tasting wines from multiple countries.
For the 2011 Festival, Italy and Spain showcased Antinori and Vega Sicilia. France and New Zealand were well represented, and the American wines included some of California's most famous offerings. Equally impressive was the quality of the live and silent auction items. High bidders took home Lafite, Latour, Petrus, Margaux, Harlan, Colgin, Marcassin, Hundred Acre, and many others. The wine tasting, auctions, and wine-paired dinner concluded with the tasting of gourmet chocolates and vintage port.
Also, in 2011 the festival set new records for attendance, revenue, and press coverage. Pacific Coast Wine Festival raised more than $150,000 to support Pacific Symphony's artistic and award-winning education programs.
In 2012, the festival is attempting to reach even greater heights, and Pride Mountain Vineyards' is excited and honored to be a part of it.
