2006 Viognier
Floral aromas of jasmine and citrus blossom perfectly weight on the palate with peach and floral notes. Crisp, long finish. Very fruit forward. Our best yet!

The gigantic flavors are there, showing the exotic, flamboyant side of Viognier. Peach, pineapple, kiwi, Key lime pie, honeysuckle blossom, roasted almond, smoky new oak and Asian spices lead to a dry, honeyed finish. There’s an edgy awkwardness though, that limits elegance. Might simply be too young. Best after mid-2008. - January 03, 2008 Wine Advocate, Dec. 28, 2007, Issue 174

The elegantly-styled 2006 Viognier reveals peach and apricot fruit notes along with crushed rocks, excellent texture, and a medium-bodied, surprisingly crisp personality. It should drink nicely for 1-2 years. - January 03, 2008 Connoisseseurs' Guide, January 2008

A light note of honey overlies suggestions of blossomy fruit and scattered notes of sweet hardwood spice in the distinctive aromas of this rich and well ripened Viognier, and its fully stuffed flavors convey plenty of fruity mass and show an enriching streak of honey running their length. Fattened with lots of glycerin and quite full on the palate, the wine tightens up in the latter going and sports a lengthy, oak infused, ripe fruit finish. A bigger version of the varietal in most regards, it will match up nicely with savory salmon recipes.
