This mountain-grown “super-Tuscan” is more than a mouthful, with wild berries, rich, ripe plums, hints of vanilla and leather and an amazing mid-palate that continues to evolve with incredible clarity and a luxurious finish.

Rating: 88
Pride Mountain consistently does a good job with Sangiovese, and the 2005 offers aromas of saddle leather, underbrush, sweet cherries, and a notion of unsmoked cigar tobacco. Drink it over the next several years.
