2001 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
“The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve must be tasted to be believed. A black/purple color to the rim is accompanied by gorgeous scents of crème de cassis, incense, liquid minerals and graphite. This profound offering is extremely full-bodied as well as rich with high but sweet tannin that coats the palate . . . Pride Mountain Vineyards = brilliance in the bottle!”

The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve must be tasted to be believed. A black/purple to the rim is accompanied by gorgeous scents of créme de cassis, incense, liquid minerals, and graphite. This profound offering is extremely full-bodied as well as rich with high but sweet tannin that coats the palate. Give this exciting dry red 4-5 years of cellaring, and drink over the following three decades. - November 02, 2007 Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, May/June 2004, Issue 114

Saturated medium ruby. High-pitched nose dominated by black cherry and minerals. Then almost shockingly sweet and creamy in the mouth, like an essence of dark mountain berries and bright minerality. Remarkably pure for a wine at this level of density. Finishes with major but sweet tannins that should carry the wine for 15 to 20 years. - November 02, 2007 The Wine Advocate, Feb. 28, 2005

The 2001 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (a, 1,300-case blend of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon aged 27 months in oak) offers gorgeously fresh, lively, but super- concentrated fruit. Inky blue/purple to the rim, with a spectacular nose of crème de cassis, licorice, camphor, and a hint of vanilla, this wine is sensationally rich, has remarkable intensity, a multi-dimensional palate, and fabulous concentration and depth. It needs another 1-3 years of bottle age, and should easily and effortlessly evolve for 20 or more years.
