1998 Sangiovese
The 1998 ripening season arrived late and cool on the mountain, preserving the vibrance of flavors. This super Tuscan blend combines the attributes of perfectly ripened Sangiovese fruit with those of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which have been blended to 10% each.
The flavor and aroma profile displays a medley of fresh and intense raspberry and red cherry characteristics. These flavors follow through on the palate, free of any suggestion of over-ripe porty tones. The body is round and rich and resolves in a lengthy finish where supple Cabernet tannins provide a touch of grip and structure.
